Well the rules and guidelines are basic. Let's go through them anyways.

1) Don't be an asshole. We came here to get away from that.

2) Do not spam anywhere else but the spam forum. Spamming means making topics that are irrelavant to the topic of the forum, also just pointless crap.

3) Do not flood ANY forum. Such acts will lead to permaban, since we can't afford to deal with that. Flooding means posting an insane number of posts in a small amount of time... it's just common courtesty.

4) In the case when LLv5 goes down or goes offline, remember to use the backup forums. (Domains will most likely redirect if that ever happens)

5) Racism used in a light-hearted manner is fine, but constantly posting pictures of the holocaust will get you banned. Saying something like "nigga please" will not get you banned.

6) Do not post NWS content outside of the spam forum. Just common courtesy again. But if you do for some weird reason, label it as NWS. Failure to do so will result in a ban.

7) The admins hold the right to ban you without question. However, we're not that trigger happy, so we shouldn't be dealing too much with this. I've chosen trustworthy admins for this job.

8) If you wish to argue a ban, we will let you. Make 1 topic alone for 1 person's ban. Anymore will get deleted, and mass whining will result in mass deletion. We'd like to hear your opinions, and we're human, so we make mistakes. But abusing this right will result in a ban.

9) Just relax here... this is a forum based on retarded happy. Don't be afraid to have intelligent discussions on this forum. I'll delete spam and such if it's worthless.

10) This is an English only forum with the exception of our spam forum(s). (if any are available at the time and according to their regulations as they fluctuate regularly)

Before you start posting like a complete idiot, we'd like it if you could learn those rules. They are important and the chances of you getting banned for not knowing them are huge. Yes, I said learn them! Of course if you don't know them too well, you can always check back on this page to read them again. In fact, I encourage you to come on this page from time to time, as those rules will sometimes change without notice!

Choose your lock name carefully! Before you register on this forum and officially call yourself a lock, we ask you that you look at the memberlist and extensively search if the lock name you desire is taken! Another way to make sure you won't have any problems is to register as your usual Internet alias, and then eventually buy a name change when you have enough Lock Points. You are not allowed to create an alternate accont! If you desire to get a name change, please ask a moderator or administrator to give you Points so you can change it yourself!

Lurk before posting! This website is very different from your usual Internet forum. We act differently and have a different humor. We can't force you to lurk, as that wouldn't be very cool, but if you don't accommodate to who we are, you will likely get insulted and end up banned. Most forum names are descriptive enough to understand what's acceptable and what isn't. If you don't know where your topic should go, post it in the General forum!

Don't make useless posts! This forum isn't a chat room! Your posts and topics should be coherent and useful. We don't tolerate short and useless posts like "lol", "first post!" or any stupid catch phrases. Before you post a topic, ask yourself: "Is my topic useful, funny, interesting or informative in any way?". If you can't answer "Yes, of course!" to this question, do not post!.

Don't mess up the forums! Do not post malicious links, code or anything of the sort! Do not stretch the forum by making long un spaced posts like "hahahahahahahaha" or anything like that. Remember that if you don't put spaces in topic titles, the layout will be stretched until your long "word" fits. A quick look at the blue header will help determine if your post is stretching the layout.

Don't start flamewars! We all enjoy a good flamewar from time to time, but try not to start one outside the spam forum!

Don't whine about your or someone else's ban! Bans happen, and whining about one will never get the person un banned! This includes making topics about a ban and even harassing an Administrator or Moderator using a chat program or e-mail! If you are 100% sure the ban is completely unjustified and that you have some sort of proof, then it is okay to contact an Administrator or a Moderator.

Keep discussions legal! Do not talk about hacking, piracy, warez, downloaded software and other things alike that are illegal! This is a serious offense!

Racism: This is a very touchy subject here. Although it is tolerated, we'd like it if you could keep it to a strict minimum. Racist jokes, as long as they are harmless and of no real meaning are also accepted. If you exaggerate on racism and go as far as threatening people of a different heritage than you, you will be banned on sight and your post will be wiped off the face of the earth! Most racist words on this forum are censored to ALL CAPS replacements. The n-word, for example, is censored to "PERSON OF AFRICAN HERITAGE" which makes it obvious that the word was censored. Sorry if this breaks some of your jokes that play on words, but that's the way it is, and it will not change!

Respect the staff! The Administrators and Moderators are here to keep the forums safe, sane, and secure. Please do not harass or intentionally annoy the mods. If they ask you to do something, please do it. If you do not like the mods or the moderation here, then feel free to not post here.

You are responsible for your account! If your account was "hacked" or stolen due to any reason, you are considered responsible for anything that happens during the hijacking, and will be banned accordingly. This is to encourage people to have safe passwords.

Images and Flash: When you make a post, try to keep images and Flash to a minimum. If you have a LockStorage account, use it to host images. This is because when you post an image, the script has to open every image posted to check its dimensions. Seeing as LockStorage files are on the same server as the forums, it is just a matter of opening the file locally, but if the image is hosted elsewhere, the script has to download the entire image first: this causes useless strain on the server and makes a post load much slower. Any content in your signature should not exceed the maximum width of 550 pixels! Your signature will be cruelly deleted and if it is not the first time you break the rule, you will get banned.

Keep content work-safe! If you would feel uncomfortable viewing your post at school or at work, do not post it! Keep all NWS (not work safe) things in the spam forum. If you absolutely have to post a NWS image in another forum, hyperlink it and tag it appropriately (just put NWS before the link).

Don't spam outside the spam forum! We have a spam forum for all your spamming needs! Its name will usually change, but it's usually obvious enough to know which one it is! Also, keep spam to a low level: flooding is strongly punished!. Don't try to have your name on all of the "last reply" fields, it's stupid and will get you banned.

Conclusion By viewing this page and registering a forum account, you automatically agree to respect these rules, and assume all consequences resulting from the disrespect of them. These rules are only guidelines, and subtily breaking them will also result in a ban: don't try to be a smart-ass! We reserve the right to ban anyone we want for any reason.
